Our monthly membership package is $21.00 US Dollars per month, with a minimum two (2) month commitment.

What do my membership dues pay for?

Essentially, the largest percentage of your dues pay for the Event Perks and the Event Host. Your monthly membership dues are used for:

How do I sign up for a membership?

To sign up for a membership, please click here!

This link will take you to our signup page. You will be asked to review membership documents, decide on the type of membership you want, then complete a basic application.

The signup process takes anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes to complete, with most of the time spent on reviewing the documentation.

Am I expected to cover my expenses at each event I attend?

At this time - Yes, you are. HOWEVER, you will discover that many of our events will provide discounts. Our goal is to provide as many discounts as possible for you. These discounts not only allow you to attend events for less than you would without being a member - but the discounts can offset the cost of your monthly membership as well!

The average member cost of each event is posted in each event description on our website - you will have an idea of what you will spend. You will also know what discounts/perks are available.

We design our events so that the most will cost you between $15 - $25 per event. In some cases, even less.

Can I invite a friend to attend an event with me?	Back to Question List
Yes! You can invite guests at the time you sign up for an event. Please keep in mind, however, that we can only offer our event perks and discounts to members of One World Events™.

Who decides the types of events that are scheduled?	Back to Question List
The members do! The One World Events™ Staff creates events based primarily on member feedback. The staff also plans fun and exciting events that members may not have thought of but will find very interesting!

How large are the events?	Back to Question List
Typically, between 6 to 12 people. We design our events to make it as easy as possible for members to get to know one another. Large event sizes can make it very difficult for someone to meet others - while an event size too small limits the number of new people to meet.

Are there attendance restrictions?

Our events can have restrictions, but these restrictions are based solely on the type of event.

For example, male members would not be allowed to sign up for a "Ladies Night" held at a local restaurant.

There are other types of restrictions, such as a non-smoking or where alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

One World Events absolutely does NOT prohibit anyone from attending an event based on nationality, race, religion, political views, or sexual preferences.

At this time, most events are not restricted. The events are open to members of all ages and walks of life.

As the membership base grows, there will be restrictions based on age group and/or marital status.

How will I be reminded that I have an event?	Back to Question List
You will receive a voice message from us approximately 24 hours from the event time. You will also receive reminder and confirmation e-mails prior to and on the day of the event.

You will be given login access to our secure, private site. Using the One World Events™ website, you can conveniently and easily select the events you wish to attend! How does One World Events™ ensure the safety of Event Participants?

Safety for our members and hosts are our primary concern! We want members to have fun, but safety is ALWAYS first.

We focus our efforts in four major areas:

Personally Hosted Events: All of our events will be hosted by an official representative of One World Events. Although the host makes sure everyone is having a good time, the host also ensures that any potentially dangerous situations are avoided.
Public Events Location: All of our events are held at public locations such as Restaurants, Theatres, Concert Halls, and other Recreational Facilities. One World will NEVER host an event at a private residence, for example.
Limited Event Attendance: We design our events to have an attendance size of approximately 6 to 12 people. The attendance size not only enhances safety, but allows for an easier way to meet others. In the very near future, event attendance will be limited by age groups, gender, and/or any other factors that enhance the safety of the event.
Membership Agreements: Conditions for membership are outlined during the new membership signup process. Key points of the agreements are that members have a fundamental respect for each other, and do not infringe on the rights and personal well-being of other members.

Our events are always in public locations and are always hosted by a representative of One World Events.

You do not have to be single to enjoy the socal networking services we offer! Our events are designed to be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you are single or married, One World Events will be able to provide you with events that fit your interests.

How did "One World Events"™ gets its name?

The actual name was inspired by a fateful "Gallery Hop" in December, 2003.

Held in the "Short North" district in Columbus, Ohio, the Gallery Hop is a monthly event that features some of the best art galleries, restaurants, and locales that the city has to offer.

A major part of the Gallery Hop's allure is the eclectic and trendy mix of people that regularly attend. The gallery hop isn't just popular with one particular group of people - it appeals to everyone living in the city - regardless of background, lifestyle, occupation, or age. What this event brings to the city is a successful combination of inspiration, creativity, culture and diversity.

And then it was, while walking among the crowds at the Gallery Hop, a deceptively simple (and almost cliche) idea was realized: For as different as we are, we really do live and find meaning in this "One World" together.

The name "One World" is meant to reflect the spirit of how we bring people together, and how we plan our events. In much the same way that the Gallery Hop is able to bring so many diverse people together, One World Events strives to host events that can be participated in, shared, and enjoyed by people from all walks of life.
